First Quarter Highlights:

Revenue of $2.931 million for 3 months ended August 31, 2019 as compared to revenue of $2.068 million for 3 months ended August 31, 2018 Total revenue increased by 41.7%, representing 39.1% increase in service revenue and 44.7% increase in product revenue. Gross profit of $732 thousand improved by $164 thousand versus the prior-year period Loss per share of $0.068 was essentially flat versus $0.062 for the prior year period despite increase in selling, general and administrative costs by 588 thousand resulting primarily from expansion into the US market. Zero out of accretion expense (last period: $123 thousand) and amortization on convertible debt financing costs (last period: $56 thousand) resulting from conversion of convertible debt to equity. “As we have previously indicated, we have had some big wins in the cybersecurity space during the quarter. The cybersecurity market is a substantial growth area for NERDS, and it will continue to grow rapidly,” noted Mr. Regan. “NERDS is uniquely positioned to support the most vulnerable targets of cybercrime, small and medium sized businesses that do not have the resources to weather downtime or be faced with ransom payments.
